‘Despite the initial challenges I never anticipated its success. However, with the dedication of willing learners, it has proven effective.’ – Teacher Joycelyn |

Our one-on-one learning support program was launched at the start of the 2024 term by one of our volunteers and has had a profound impact on our students, especially those who have struggled with reading or fallen behind in school.
Many children have had very long absences from school and have fallen far behind, whilst some may not have attended school at all. This programme is prioritising the pupils that need the most support so that they can begin their literacy journey. Our learning support teacher Joyceline’s commitment to each child has been a game changer, showing our students that they are valued and capable of achieving greatness.
The programme aims to incorporate different learning styles and to have as much interactive teaching as possible, making learning fun and ensuring children get the most benefit from their time out from lessons. With a new Learning Support Classroom, a new learning structure and a new learning methodology and methods of teaching, the programme is already proving to be very beneficial. We are already seeing the results of this with students being able to graduate from the programme and return to their regular classroom and engage with their learning.
