Two volunteers from England, Matt and Bex, arrived in March and spent three months assisting with PE and helping out in the preschool classes. They were surprised to see that the school field where the children play was essentially
"...a dust bowl on a hill and resembled Gloucestershire’s Coopers Hill Cheese Chase. The gradient ruined any sport you would want to play and during the dry season turned the red soil into a dust bowl." They set about fundraising and managed to raise £724 in order to level the playing field and build an adventure playground. We are so grateful for their contribution which has significantly improved PE lessons and given our pupils the opportunity to develop their skills through play. |
